Parkinson plates five to key Frankie’s comeback

Cal Parkinson and Adam Dienna came up big as Frankie’s on Fairview erased an eight-run deficit after four innings to beat Ram’s Head Tavern, 22-20, in the Delco Christian Softball League Tuesday night.

Frankie’s scored 10 runs in the fifth inning, highlighte­d by Cal Parkinson’s two-run triple, and went ahead to stay of Adam Dienna’s two-run bomb in the sixth inning. Parkinson finished 4-for-5 with five RBIs, while Chuck Stewart and Dan Fradette both went deep and drove in four runs each. Andrew Niede was 5-for-5 with a pair of doubles and four runs scored.

Suburban Women’s Slow Pitch

The ladies from Lefty’s were on fire in a 28-9 romp over Calvary. Pam Downey (two dingers), Adrienne Kalup and Aryan Eaton all went 5-for-5. CASEY’S 18, HAGGERTY’S 14 >> Maria Hooch was some hitter, going 4-for-4 with a double. Mae Mordabito slugged two homers while going 3-for-4. Betty Horn also went deep in a 3-for-4 effort.

Sean Timmins won the opener with a walk-off hit. He went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, as did George Fields and Ron Duranto Jr. In the nightcap, Dan Crowley Sr. and Dan Crowley Jr. both were 3-for-3 with a double. Tony Catone also was 3-for-3 with three ribbies. Works had the bats 15-14 and 15-4 sweep

Ches-Del Senior

Bob Wolf, Jose Castro, Ed turner, Bob Ford and Ron Rubin ripped two hits each as the Patriots topped the Legends, 14-5. John Gallen got the win against the defending champs.

Brandywine Valley Senior

Rick Brown’s four hits staked Rich McLaughlin to his first win of the season as United Sports defeated LifeSmokeV­apors.com, 19-7. Bob Ford had a homer among his three hits. Charlie Harvey also had three safeties. BOSS AUTOMOTIVE 15, GOSHEN BEVERAGE 12 >> John Nitsche provided the margin of victory with a threerun homer in the bottom of the eighth inning. He finished with four hits, as did Joe Bonavita, who also went deep.
