DOT’S THE ANSWER

To my good friend Dot: Well, your question has finally been answered. The Cracker Barrel in Ridley Township should be open by the end of the year, keyword being “should.” I’m sure you’ll enjoy many nice lunches there.

YOUR FRIEND THE TRUMP EXCEPTION

To the caller missing the cowboy shows, I miss them, too. There was always a right way and a wrong away. Today there’s right and wrong. Everybody believes they’re right. Oh, except when it comes to Donald Trump – people believe he’s always wrong.

COUGH IT UP, TEACH

If each teacher at each school chipped in $5 a week, would it be enough to hire an off-duty cop for each school? Would that be tax deductible?

JUST WONDERING DAN DOWN THE DRAIN

To “What A Dump” in Ridley, what about a trailer on the front lawn of a brand new house? Boats in driveways, commercial trucks on the street – it’s a complete disgrace, but they raise our taxes anyway.

HOW MIKE KILLED MANHATTAN

To “Donnie’s Con Game,” I’ll be inclined to listen to Michael Bloomberg’s opinion of Trump when he admits that he destroyed New York City with his Ivory Tower liberal nonsense – pricing actual New Yorkers out of the city, doing his best to kill its character. It’s a sad state of affairs when you’re in Midtown or Lower Manhattan and can’t find a regular neighborhood bar anymore. Outright smoking bans taking the decision out of business owners’ hands, trying to ban large sodas, filling Manhattan and Brooklyn with out-of-town rich kids – yeah, I’m going to listen to this guy’s opinion on whether Trump is a con man or not.

WATCH YOUR BACK, PAT

What does Pat Meehan do in Washington? I see he gives plenty of interviews at the Daily Times. What does he do though besides vote with Democrats all the time? And he got rolled by the Democrats big time on that budget that passed. He’s getting voted out of there.

BOOTHWYN TOO BAD, DONNIE BOY

What Trump really meant when he said that he didn’t realize it was going be so hard to be president was that he thought he was going to get his own way. Well, Donald, that’s not the way it works here in the government. You can’t bully people like you do your employees at work.

I’LL SHOW YOU VINDICTIVE

I love how people like “Pack Of Losers” say they’ve “never seen anybody act so vindictive towards the winners of an election.” That’s funny, because I saw this for like eight years with the Republicans vindictive attitude towards Obama and the Democrats. They were obstructionists, they wouldn’t even hold a hearing on a Supreme Court justice. And they said that the only thing that they had on their agenda was to make sure President Obama didn’t get a second term. That’s as vindictive as it gets.

GET A GRIP

To “‘Mr. Tom’ Needs A Life,” I don’t think too many Sound Off callers should be volunteering at nursing homes or prisons to talk with people. We don’t need to add cell block riots or senior citizen fights over political bickering to the list of problems facing the world.

ONE WHO KNOWS NO ADULTS HERE

To “We Are Adults, Right?,” apparently not, because if we were they’d be doing what you said and getting the government out of health care completely. But no, people need the government to take care of them because they can’t handle life on their own.

THE TRUMP HYPOCRISY

“Gold-Plated Patronage” is correct that ambassadorships are usually patronage jobs. However, all these other presidents who named ambassadors didn’t go around saying that money was ruining Washington and that they were going to drain the swamp once they got in there. So this is just Trump being a hypocrite, and that was the point.
