Finlan finishes off comeback win in senior softball
Bruce Gilbert tied the game with an RBI single then Jim Finlan finished off the comeback with the game-winning hit in the next at-bat as LifeSmokeVapors.com defeated Goshen Beverage, 14-13, Tuesday in the Brandywine Valley Senior Softball League.
Steve Berk, Larry Riggs and Ken Ross added three hits apiece for LifeSmokeVapors.com while Ed Turner had a home run and a triple for Goshen Beverage. UNITED SPORTS 21, BOSS AUTOMOTIVE 7 >> Will Haines had three hits and three runs for United Sports while Ralph Camardelli had four hits, including a pair of doubles for Boss Automotive. BROTHER’S PIZZA 19, SPAZ BEVERAGE 9 >> Keith and Ward Barnes had two hits each and were able to shed some brotherly love on fellow teammates Mort Tirnauer, Joel Boutin and John Gallen, all of whom had a pair of hits.
Suburban Women’s Slow
Megan Gerber led the way with three hits, including a three-run homer and five RBIs, while Nicole Anderson and Melissa Cawley each had two hits and two RBIs as Dolan’s blasted Marty’s, 19-4. CASEY’S 6, DUKE’S 4 >> Caitlin Robbins and Tracy Mae Gordon had two hits each, and Erin Horn was the standout with three hits to pace Casey’s.
Ches-Del Senior
John Herr whacked two hits, including a triple, while Gary Zimmerman and Tom Daley added two hits apiece as the Optimum Physical Therapy Legends pulled out a 12-9 victory over Pride & Joy.

Kenny Elkind was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Rich Kearns had four RBIs to lead MRC over Personal Health, 19-4, in Game 2 of their doubleheader. Rocco Pace was the winning pitcher and also added three hits.
In Game 1, Dan Collins and Rick Larkin each went 3-for-3 with three RBIs apiece as MRC cruised to a 16-4 win to sweep the doubleheader.

Simone Lusi and Brian Ursone tallied four hits each as UTC Union rolled to a 26-7 victory over Hunt’s to win its second straight game.
