Belmont University

The Citadel
CHARLESTON, S.C. >> The Citadel’s South Carolina Corps of Cadets received degrees Saturday, May 6, in McAlister Field House. Members of The Citadel Class of 2017 were recognized for excellence in leadership, service and academics at commencement. The South Carolina Corps of Cadets celebrated the graduation of over 551 cadets, 7 active duty students and 23 veteran students. Of those cadets, 129 were commissioned as officers.
Delaware County graduates include: Jonathan Reed of Glenolden, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; Lauren Seedor of Wayne, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

PHILADELPHIA >> Michael Wasch of Prospect Park has accepted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is the nation’s only interdisciplinary honors organization for first- and second-year college students. Wasch is a 2016 graduate of Interboro High School, where he was captain of the wrestling team.
