Martinelli gets best of former mates as Concord cruises

Anthony Mar tinelli reminded his former Delco League teammates what they’re missing this year.

Martinelli tossed five solid innings, scattering two hits, as he helped Concord beat reigning champs Narberth, 12-3, Sunday.

Andrew Belfiglio reached base five times and scored four runs in a game that went to the seventh with the Canes up 2-1. Brian Kirk scored three times, Brian Gross drove in three runs with two hits, and Frank Saviski collected two hits and two RBIs for Concord. WAYNE 10, BLACK SOX 2 >> Dan Williams finished a triple shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4 to pace Wayne.

Tyler Kehoe added a double and a triple, and John Bernhardt was the beneficiar­y on the mound by allowing seven hits in five innings.

Ridley Babe Ruth

Adam Beyers tossed a com- plete game, striking out nine, and helped his cause with two hits and two runs in leading Woodlyn AC over Ridley Township Police, 3-2.

Liam Jordan drove in a run for Woodlyn.

Senior EDCO

Tim Durante, Collin DiGalbo and Kevin Finn combined a two-hitter, striking out 13 in Briarcliff­e’s 17-0 win over Brookhaven. Rian Bluford paced the offense with two hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Delco MSBL

Rhett Whitton allowed just two runs over three innings on the hill and drove in three runs at the dish to lead the Delco Tigers over the Aston Marauders, 15-6.

Justin Sisbarro homered, scored three times and drove in two runs, while Jeremy Dale went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs for the Tigers.
