1. Robert DeNiro’s film festival brought this Manhattan neighborho­od to the fore, and even though its south of Canal, it’s really more of a trapezoid. 2. Not to be confused with the most famous historic district in Virginia, if not country, this Brooklyn neighborho­od has been for decades the hub of hipster culture. 3. Not to be confused with a toilet, this is one of the first neighborho­ods in Queens and is technicall­y home to the Mets. 4. Not to be confused with the Roman Polanski film, New York has numerous ethnic enclaves that go by this title, but the most famous is where Canal and Mott streets intersect in Lower Manhattan. 5. The two neighborho­ods that comprise Manhattan Community Board 4 also make up a former First Daughter, although her given name supposedly came from a Joni Mitchell song and not this West Side ‘hood. 7. The two neighborho­ods that comprise Manhattan Community Board 4 also make up a former First Daughter, although it’s better known as Hell’s Kitchen her surname is shared with this West Side ‘hood.
