YUPPIE INVASION
I was in Media the other day – I was born and raised in Media, now I live some place else – and I can’t believe how much Media has changed. It has really changed a lot. The Towne House is gone, the Plumstead is gone, other great places are gone. Now it’s nothing but all restaurants. What happened to the town? It’s nothing but a bunch of yuppies in it.
WHEN SNOWFLAKES FIZZLE
Notice how these protesting college students always perform in the safe environments of their alma mater. The real world would hardly be as accommodating. The walkout at Notre Dame should not have been allowed. Administrators need backbone to uphold standards of civility and manners. These are still students and they still need direction. OLD SCHOOL
STEEL FOR A CHANGE
Now I see they’re recalling airbags on the new cars. Boy, I’ll tell you – I’ve never heard so much junk since they started making cars out of plastic and high-tech. When are people going to wise up? Let’s get back to the good old steel and chrome – when cars were cars, men were men and people were people. Let’s get rid of all these over-priced plastic high tech junk for once and for all. And like I said, “If it ain’t steel, it ain’t real.”

I’m curious about second-hand smoke and the so-called damage it causes. It seems to me that the smoking of marijuana would also create the same problem but no one from the liberal community seems concerned. Why? JACKIE
PROMOTE A DONOTHING?
An article in the Times states that Mike Turzai, House speaker, is going to be running for governor. What we don’t need as governor is the former speaker of the House that does absolutely nothing in the Pennsylvania Legislature. Why would anybody want to vote for this man for governor when he can’t get anything accomplished as speaker of the House?
THE RUIN OF US ALL
I’m sure that the University of Notre Dame graduates who walked out of their graduation to protest Vice President Pence’s presence had their expensive tuition covered by parents and family. It’s a shame that they ruined this nice day by the rude behavior for the others there. As my Uncle Richie in South Philly would say quote, “I’d smack them upside the head.”
SHAKING MY HEAD
Another example of the lack of intelligence of Trump supporters is Trump’s budget. His new budget cuts Medicaid, federal employee pensions, welfare benefits and farm subsidies. There are lot of people who voted for Donald Trump this depend on these programs, and Trump wants to cut all these programs. And yet these people still support Trump 100 percent. That is the ultimate in stupidity.
SMOKE, DON’T DRINK
“The Citizen” is all worried about people smoking marijuana what about the citizen has no problem with people drinking all the time. And drinking depresses the central nervous system. Marijuana does not. Drinking makes your reaction time slower. Marijuana does not. So marijuana is actually much safer than alcohol.
FIT HIM IN STRIPES
Too bad, Donald, it doesn’t look good for you, buddy. Now you know why 90-95 percent of those people down here in D.C. are lawyers first and politicians second. They know how to lie, steal, cheat, get away with it and cover their tracks. Unfortunately Donald is not a lawyer and half the people he has with him aren’t either. GOOD LUCK, BUDDY

I can’t call the “Straight Shooter” stupid; I have to call him insane, because he says that “the North Korea guy” got the message from Donald Trump. “The North Korea guy” has set off more missile tests since Trump took president than he did in the eight years of Obama. So what kind of message and did he get from Trump?
