PennDOT centers close for Memorial Day
HARRISBRUG >> PennDOT announces that all driver license and photo centers, including its full-service center in Harrisburg, will be closed through Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
Customers may still obtain a variety of driver and vehicle products and services, including all forms, publications and driver training manuals, online through PennDOT’s Driver and Vehicle Services website, www. dmv.pa.gov
Driver and vehicle online services are available 24-hoursa-day, seven-days-a-week and include driver’s license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services.

Water main work on Monoa Road
HAVERFORD >> Aqua Pennsylvania is planning lane restrictions with flagging on Manoa Road at Washington Avenue from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, May 30-Friday, June 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for water main installation Motorists are advised to allow additional time when traveling through the work zone.
I-95 bridge work continues
CHESTER >> PennDOT announces nighttime lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 between the I-476 (Exit 7) and Route 352/Route 320 (Exit 6) interchanges from 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Tuesday, May 30-Friday, June 2, for work related to a $16.6 million project to rehabilitate eight bridges over Interstate 95 and CSX Railroad in the city.
Currently, the Crosby Street pedestrian bridge over I-95 is under construction. Due to nature of the bridge repairs, Crosby Street has been closed to pedestrians between 12th Street and 13th Street through July 2017. During the closure, pedestrians will be directed to use the Edgmont Avenue bridge to cross over I-95.
Water main work in Tinicum
TINICUM >> Aqua Pennsylvania is scheduled to close 4th Avenue weekdays between Route 291 (Governor Printz Boulevard) and Second Street from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, May 30-Friday, June 9, for water main installation.
During construction, 4th Avenue motorists will be detoured over Route 291, Wanamaker Avenue and Second Street. Motorists are advised to allow additional time when traveling near the work area. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.
