Havertown man busted for possession of child porn
MEDIA COURTHOUSE » A 70-year-old Havertown man has been charged with child pornography possession and attempted distribution charges, according to a release from Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan.
Delaware County Detective Sgt. Kenneth Bellis and detectives Edmond Pisani, Tim Deery, Ed Kazlo, analyst Brian Knowlton and a Haverford Township K-9 officer served a search warrant at the Drexel Avenue home of Raymond Giambuzzi May 10, according to the release.
During the search, Giambuzzi allegedly attempted to hide a flash drive in his pocket that contained child pornography, according to the release. Investigators allegedly found hundreds of images of child pornography on the flash drive and other devices, as well as evidence that Giambuzzi was spying on and trading pictures of his family members over Skype. Giambuzzi also had “a lot of conversations about incest,” the release says.
Giambuzzi is charged with 112 counts of attempted dissemination of child pornography, sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communications facility, all felonies of the third degree.
He was primarily arraigned Monday before Magisterial District Judge Robert M. D’Agostino, who set bail at ten percent of $75,000. Giambuzzi has posted bail, but was ordered not to have access to the Internet or any unsupervised contact with minors. He must also complete a psychological and psychosexual evaluation, according to the release.
Giambuzzi is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before D’Agostino June 26.
