Robert A. Hoffner of Doylestown passed away on May 31, 2017 at Pine Run Health Center. He was 74 years old and the loving husband of Carol M. Hoffner.

Born in Philadelph­ia he was the son of the late William E. and Margaret E. Joerg Hoffner.

Robert graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1960. He went on to attend Delaware Valley College, graduating in 1964 with a B.A. in Animal Husbandry and was instrument­al in starting the college wrestling team.

In 1966 Robert was hired as personnel manager for Strawbridg­e and Clothier’s Wilmington, DE store, later becoming Vice President of Store Operations for the Clover Division of S& C prior to the company being bought by May Company in 1996.

He founded ClientLink Inc., a printing and fulfillmen­t company in 1998. He was an avid saltwater fisherman, sang in the choir for many years and enjoyed playing tennis.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Robert is survived by his children: Cheryl L. Dreyer and David R. Hoffner, as well as his grandchild­ren: Maxwell, Benjamin, Samuel, Evelynne, Luke, Karen, Nicholas and Charlie.

Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 23, 2017, at Doylestown Presbyteri­an Church, 127 East Court Street, Doylestown, where the family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
