LIBERAL NONSENSE

To Neal Zoren: Great article about the Channel 17 journalist. As usual, it’s the liberal point of view that everybody else is wrong except for the person committing the act and causing disturbance. Thanks again, Neal.

BAD NEWS

We’re seeing stupidity at its highest from the Daily Times. I read the column from Neal Zoren this week about Colleen Campbell. What does he mean by saying she should not be punished? Would he be proud if his daughter acted that way? So you can berate a police officer, spit at a nightclub employee and generally cause a public disturbance without the risk of being arrested? Neal Zoren is as goofy as she say. You know what? Channel 17 got rid of her, and the Daily Time should get rid of Neal Zoren. That column was horrible, and the Times is horrible for printing it. THE REBEL

FOSSILIZED

I read the Sound Off from “Seeing Green.” Did these pro-fossil fuels people ever go to school and read about how long it takes for the plant life and everything else to die and to turn into coal? Do they know how many millions of years that takes, compared to how quickly we’re gobbling up that stuff? The planet cannot keep up with the rate of use. And on the flip side, do these anti-GMO people have any answers for how we’re supposed to keep up the food supply without industrial agriculture and genetic modification? Eventually the planet is going to have the last laugh.

WE’RE UNITED

Wow, Trump actually gave a speech calling for unification. Most GOP so often look at an attack on liberals as an occurrence while most liberals look at an attack on one as an attack on all.

TO THE MAX

Maxine Waters is a joke. She keeps calling for the impeachment of Pres. Trump. The person who should be removed from office is her. She’s like Bernie Sanders’ counterpart in the House: All vitriolic rhetoric, no productive action in decades as an elected official. At least Ted Kennedy was a good legislator.

NO MIDDLE

Hey all you stinking Republicans, do you see what Trump and the Republican Party is going to do to the middle class and the poor? They’re going to take away healthcare and all kinds of Medicaid, food stamps and everything else to help the middle class and the poor people. That’s what the Republican Party is really about – to steal from the middle class and the poor and to give to the rich and the wealthy. I wouldn’t put a Republican in there if they gave me the whole United States. God bless America and the Democratic Party. A TRUE BLUE COLLAR DEMOCRAT

HERE’S THE BEEF

To “Ignorance Is Hiss,” you talk about people showing their ignorance because they disagree with $15 an hour not being a lot of money. Before it was $7 an hour isn’t a lot of money, now it’s $15 an hour not being a lot of money. What’s next – $25, $30 an hour to flip hamburgers isn’t a lot of money either. The point is, it’s obvious you don’t own a small business. For a small businessman who has maybe six, seven, eight employees, paying them $15 an hour is a lot of money. He may not be making as much as the big corporations. A $15 an hour minimum wage wouldn’t just include big companies, it would include all these companies, big and small. A “mom and pop” business can’t afford to pay all of their staff $15; an independently owned restaurant can’t pay their wait staff that kind of money. I’d love to see everybody make $30 an hour, but it’s not possible to successfully do that through minimum wage.
