‘NOTCH’ A WIN
With all the talk about HB 76, I want to know when the government is going to take care of the Notch Babies. It’s awful what was done to us and we need a fix before we all die off! what person in what corner bar I’ve heard from, it’s from Bull Durham tobacco advertising in ballparks, from old Civil War POW camps and city jail slang, or actual cattle yard, rodeo or bullfighting pens. I’m pretty sure when I looked this up after hearing arguments before I read that the earliest uses by sportswriters treated it like it was an already an understood term among fans and didn’t give an explanation.
SCANDAL IN CHICHESTER
Now I have seen it all. I live in the overtaxed Chichester School District and read in Saturday’s Daily Times an article stating our taxes school taxes will be going up again. So I was out on a shopping trip and what do I see? The cheerleaders from Chichester High School out there with buckets asking for us to donate more money so the cheerleading can survive. Are you kidding me? With the school taxes that we’re paying, they’ve got these kids out there asking for more money? Maybe if they didn’t get so much of the money to the teachers and administrators in the form of outrageous salaries and benefits, these kids would have to be out there begging. It’s a disgrace.

Hello Daily Times, I am curious about something: A 50-year dynasty in Brookhaven comes to a close in the McCrays’ long succession as judges and council members. Here we are at the end of that era and nobody from the Daily Times picks it up. It’s almost like you don’t even know what’s going on.

If Donald Trump keeps Tweeting, why don’t we put him in a bird cage and feed him some bird seed? And stop hollering at the television cameras – you caused the problem.
DEPORT THE DEMS
People wondered why things are a mess in this country. Just put this in perspective, normally the outgoing president rides out into the sunset and you hear nothing from him anymore. Not anymore; he’s in the news every week. Normally the losing presidential candidate rides out into the sunset or goes back to their old job and doesn’t dwell on the loss. Not anymore. This party that has just left has caused more destruction than anything and can’t lose gracefully. The Democratic Party has to figure something out because they can’t have Obama and the Clintons out there reminding people of what they’ve done. Let’s grow up and move forward – and that means leaving Trump alone. If the Democrats care about this country, they need to back off.
GET A BRAIN
“Bob From Broomall” asked where the substance is in calling Trump brainless. Well, it’s because Trump has never done anything praiseworthy — that’s where the substance is. If you consider the health care bill put up by the Republicans that he supports to be good, you’re brainless. If you consider the environmental regulations that he’s rolled back to be good, you’re brainless. This is where the substance is in calling people who praise Trump brainless.
WHAT A WASTE
To all the Democrats always complaining about how Republicans don’t care about the poor and middle class, how about the $30-plus million wasted on the George special election? How many people do you think that money could have helped instead of futilely being poured into an election?
