Enakimans help Drexel get going early

Ivie Enakiman is a name about for years to come.

The Drexel 8-and-under swimmer put on a show in her team’s first Intra-County League Blue Division meet of the season, a 240-228 victory over Prospect Park Saturday morning.

In addition to claiming wins in three events, Enakiman set a team record in the 25 freestyle that had stood since 1981. Enakiman also triumphed in the butterfly and breaststro­ke.

Other triple-winners for Drexel included Ryan Moore (8U butterfly, breaststro­ke, freestyle), Lia Abatangelo (18U individual medley, butterfly, breaststro­ke), Kacey Berardinel­li (18U breaststro­ke, free, free relay), Tyler Smith (18U IM, fly, free relay), Emmy Enakiman (10U backstroke, free, free relay), Brooke Souders (14U backstroke, free, free relay) and Jon Harwood (14U IM, fly, free relay).

Prospect Park’s triple-winners included Jimmy Tolan (10U fly, breaststro­ke, free), Connor Brooks (12U fly, breaststro­ke, free) and Dylan Turoski (8U backstroke, free, free relay).

In the Gold Division: AQUATIC 261, TINICUM 137 » Aquatic received triplewinn­ing days from Ryan Schreiber (18U IM, fly and backstroke), Paige Shaika (18U IM, backstroke, free), Schuyler Gock (14U IM, fly, free), Shakira Tolliver (10U backstroke, free, free relay), Patrick Myers (8U fly, breaststro­ke, free) and Arianna Nickles (8U fly, breaststro­ke, free).

Tinicum was paced by Teddy Crossley (14U fly, backstroke, free) and Mason McCoy (12U fly, breaststro­ke, free). NASSAU 249, FOLCROFT 166 » For Nassau, Jackson Bauer won the 8-U back, breaststro­ke and free, Liam Wettlaufer won the 12U IM, breaststro­ke and free relay, and Megan Rowlyk captured the 12U IM, free and free relay.

Despite the loss, Folcroft got triple-winning efforts from Taylor Rush (18U IM, fly, free), Ethan Joner (10U fly, back, free) and Julia Macaulay (10U fly, breaststro­ke, free).

Delco League

The A Division opener between Lawrence Park and visiting Lansdowne featured three recordbrea­king races.

While her club fell, 266-206, Lansdowne’s Allison Stewart set a team record in the 14-andunder breaststro­ke with a time of 37.55. A pool record was broken by Lawrence Park’s 200 free relay.

Triple-winners for Lansdowne included Elise Olmstead (10U fly, free, free relay), Brock Green (10U back, free, free relay), Logan DeConti (14U IM, back, free relay) and Carter Branigan.

Lansdowne set a team mark in the 14U relay.

Knowlton was also led by Kyle Langan (18U fly, free, free relay), Justin Cuevas Rieqode Dios (10U back, free, free relay), Ava McLaughlin (10U fly, free, free relay), Siena Scunqio (8U back, free, free relay) and Meghan Neidich (8U fly, breast, free relay).

The lone triple-winner for Karakung Abrahams (18U IM, back, breast).

In the B Division: HILLTOP 314, ALDAN 144 » Leading the way for Hilltop were triple-winners Claire Brown (8U back, free, free relay), Amelia Wojnovich (8U fly, breaststro­ke, free relay), Max Cronholm (8U fly, free, free relay), TJ Hayes (10U fly, breaststro­ke, free), Patricia McCarthy (12U IM, back, free relay), Madeline Reavey (12U fly, free, free relay), Emma Wojnovich (14U IM, fly, free), Fred Furia (14U IM, fly, free relay) and Jackson Graham (18U IM, fly, free relay).

John Shelton (12U IM, breast, free) and Claire McBlain (18U IM, back, free) were standouts for Aldan. RIDLEY TOWNSHIP 275, BRIARCLIFF­E 193 » Ridley Township controlled the tempo the entire way. Pushing the team to success were triple-winners Trista Ermilio (14U back, breast, free relay), Kayleigh Kennedy (12U IM, fly, back), Alex Boeckx (18U IM, fly, breast), Rori Kennedy (8U fly, breast, free), Hunter Zimmerman (8U fly, back, free), Brandon Rechner (14U IM, fly, free), Marisella Rechner (18U IM, fly, free), Shane Eckner (10U fly, free, free relay) and Madison Rae (14U fly, free, free relay).

While the season opener didn’t yield a team victory for Briarcliff­e, 10-and-under swimmers Josh Travers (fly, breast, free), Addyson Despeaux (fly, breast, free relay) and Gianna DePasquale (10U back, free, free relay) all went home with three wins. CONESTOGA 282, BROOKHAVEN 176 » Conestoga got a big boost from Grace Wakiyama (18U IM, breaststro­ke, free relay) and Avery Barber (14U free, backstroke, free relay), both of whom set a team record. Wakiyama broke the IM with a time of 1:10.50, while Barber set the record in the freestyle was David (28.78).

Also joining the group of triple-winners for Conestoga were Oliver Brummer (8U fly, breaststro­ke, free), Alice Lake (8U fly, breaststro­ke, free relay), Alina Klaehn (12U breaststro­ke, IM, free relay), Sophia Mlodziensk­i (12U fly, back, free relay), Kelsey Wakiyama (14U fly, breaststro­ke, free relay) and Alec Maloney (18U fly, free, free relay).

Jack Durkin triumphed and IM for Brookhaven.
