Judith A. Castiglion­e “Judy” age 56 of Springfiel­d, formerly of Folcroft, passed away surrounded by her family and friends at Temple Hospital due to her long battle with Scleroderm­a.

Judy was a graduate of Sharon Hill High School in 1979 where she played varsity basketball and field hockey. Judy loved her summers at the Sun Flower motel in Wildwood N.J. Later in life, Judy loved to watch her two sons play Ice Hockey and Football around the country. Judy’s greatest joy in life was becoming a grandmothe­r and spending time with all 4 of her grandchild­ren. She retired from UPS after 25 years of service in 2016 and accomplish­ed her goal of retiring in Florida. Anyone who knew Judy knew how much she loved her time at UPS and the many friends she made there, especially Jeannie, Eileen & Sonia. Although politics were never part of her passion or life, she became an avid Donald Trump supporter and has always been an avid sports fan.

She is predecease­d by her parents Henry and Regina Wiegner, mother in law Alice Castiglion­e, two brothers Henry and Donald Wiegner and her precious dog Hailey Renee’.

Survivors: Judy is the beloved wife of Lou Castiglion­e, loving mother of Gaetano (Lindsay) Castiglion­e and Anthony (Jessica) Castiglion­e, cherished grandmothe­r to Giovanni, Brighton, Cason and Lorenzo Castiglion­e, dear sister of Arlene (Chalie) Rankin, Marge Wiegner, Ken (Lorraine) Wiegner, Lois (Rich) Powers and Patricia Loomis, sister in law of Rosann (Joe) Aloise, brother in law of Michael (Debbie) Castiglion­e and many nieces and nephews.

We would like to offer a special thanks to all of our family and many friends that helped Judy/ Mom through these past 7 ½ years of her illness. A special thanks to her dear friends Helen Morell and Kelly Clark along with her daughter in laws Jessica and Lindsay for their incredible care, kindness, and support. Also to Tony Maroni, Trish Botta and the girls at UPS that assisted her getting in and out of the building so she could continue to work. We also want to send a special thank you to her dialysis teams of Swarthmore and Sarasota Fresenius: Jen, Kristen, Mark, Mike, Christine, Darren, Tony, Candace, Rachel, Daniel, Tammy, Damaris, Nancy and all the techs and personnel.

Memorial Service will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM Wednesday June 28, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
