Durante, Briarcliffe clinch division crown
Briarcliffe clinched its fourth straight Musser Division championship with a 10-4 win over Marple in Senior EDCO baseball Sunday.
Winning pitcher Tim Durante belted a two-run single in the fifth to break the game open for Briarcliffe (10-2). He also struck out three.
Jared Morris hurled four innings of scoreless, one-hit relief and recorded three strikeouts.
Seamus McCaffery reached base all four times and scored three runs, while Corey Cahill played stellar defense at second base for Briarcliffe. GARNET VALLEY 7, ASTON VALLEY 5 » Pat Diskin’s two-run double in the top of the eighth inning rallied Garnet Valley to victory.
Aston Valley led, 5-3, until the sixth inning when Garnet Valley knotted the game with two runs.
Diskin’s double helped hurler Justin White register the win. White struck out four in four innings of relief.
Delco League
Narberth rebounded from a fiverun deficit with nine unanswered runs in 9-6 win over Aston Valley.
Joe Lake went 3-for-4. Kevin McGowan, Spencer Stokes, Steve Debarberie and Richie Tecco each had two hits for Narberth, which trailed 5-0 in the first inning.
Pitcher Marty McKeone pocketed the win as Narberth elevated its record to 12-6.
Intermediate EDCO
Springfield erupted for all of runs with two outs and nobody base to defeat Briarcliffe, 8-4.
Briarcliffe led, 3-0, entering fifth inning.
Springfield scored three runs in the fifth inning after painting itself into a two-outs, nobody-on corner, three runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh,
Nick Kutufaris went 3-for-4 for Springfield, which improved to 5-3.
Chris Huk slugged two hits, including two-run double in the sixth inning that proved to be the game-winnner. Huk also collected two walks and scored twice.

Matt Nelson tied the game with a two-run homer and one inning later, Steve Smith slugged a walkoff RBI-single as Top Lumber Expos claimed a 4-3 victory over Glen Mills Rays.
The Rays walked into the bottom of the eighth inning with a 3-1 advantage. Zac Penman drew a walk and Nelson went yard over the left field fence to tie the contest.
Len Montano doubled to start the bottom of the ninth, and Smith went to center field to end the game.
Pitcher Matt Papa went the distance, collecting seven strikeouts along with the win as the Expos remained in first place with a 15-1 record. DELCO TIGERS 17, ASTON MARAUDERS 2» The Delco Tigers notched their fourth win of the season with Jeremy Dale pitching a complete game.
Jason Burton led the Tigers at the plate with three doubles. Sean Arthur drilled a three-run double and Rhett Whitton belted a solo home run, his second of the season.
Delmont Prep Legion
Aston-Media Blue rolled to a 19-9 triumph over Haverford thanks to pitcher Gannon Walker and sluggers Roman Tozzi, Jimmy Cage and Nikko Partsanakis.
Walker fanned seven to notch the win.
Tozzi, Cage and Partsanakis drove in four runs for Aston-Media Blue. in 4 2/3 innings
