Janet Andrews Moulder, beloved bride of Will H. Moulder, adored daughter of Clarence W. & Mary B. Cobourn Andrews, passed away after a very brief illness at the celebrated age of 92 years.

Direct descendant of Thomas Coebourne, Sr., the Quaker who in 1682 received the land grant for the area now known as Brookhaven from William Penn, Janet retained a keen interest in and was a documentar­ian for the historical legacies of Chester and Brookhaven, Pennsylvan­ia.

Graduating early in 1942 from Chester High School, Janet remained active in alumni activities.

Janet graduated from Pierce Business School and as a legal secretary she assisted in the filing of the patent for the catalytic convertor process. She retired from the Tripodi & Toal Law Firm in Media, PA, and she worked for various firms in the Wilmington area. She was active long-term in the XI Upsilon chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Janet was a lifelong pillar of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Chester, and belonged to groups that incuded the bowling league and the frolicking fun social.

Instrument­al in developing Penn Delco Union School District, Janet was a community volunteer and a regional co-ordinator for the Girl Scouts.

She befriended and respected all who had dealings with her.

Survivors include daughters: Jean Moulder (Thomas Clark), Marilyn Green (Bert Green) and BJ Shoemaker; grandchild­ren: Jennifer McNertney (Will Wilson), Michael McNertney, Jessica Green Jaeger (Will Jaeger), Sarah Green (David Hallberg), Rose Shoemaker and Will Shoemaker; greatgrand­children: Rachel, Hannah and Nellie.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday June 28 at 10 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Chester Rural Cemetery.
