C. Dennis Glancey

C. Dennis Glancey, June 25, 2017, age 78 of Broomall.

Dennis was born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia and was a graduate of North Catholic High School. He was a long time resident of Southwest Philadelphia and active member of Good Shepherd Parish. He was a friend of Bill W. for 40 years.

Dennis worked for the Philadelphia Housing Authority for 25 years before retiring and moving to Marple Township. Always active in politics he was a Democratic Committeeman in Philadelphia and Marple Township. He was also a long time supporter of Southwest CDC and member of Men of Malvern. As a friend of the environment, he belonged to the friends of Crum Creek Neighbors Association.

He is survived by his loving wife Margaret “Peggy” (nee Henry) Glancey. Children Dan (Kileen), Dennis (Marie), Peggy (Harry) Tregear, Mary Pat (Neville) Pumphrey, Christopher Glancey and Elizabeth (Derek) Ottinger. Also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren a brother David (Alice) Glancey and a sister Elaine (Bob) Ballantyne.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday evening 6-8pm at the Ruffenach Funeral Home, 4900 Township Line Rd., Drexel Hill, Pa. 19026 and 9am Friday morning at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, Pa 19008, where his Funeral Mass will follow at 10am.

Interment St. Denis Cemetery.
