Francis (Frank) W. Zelenkowski
Francis (Frank) W. Zelenkowski, 84, suddenly on June 28th, 2017. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Frank was a graduate of West Catholic class of 1951. He proudly served in the Korean War. He worked as an electrician at General Electric Switch Gear Plant for 35 years. Frank was an avid fisherman, gardener, and the Phillies #1 fan. He was a dedicated member of the Holy Cross parish where he coached the girls softball team. He was a 50 year member of St. Anastasia’s men’s bowling league, with the Maverick’s team. Frank was a very proud member of the Polish American Club in Clifton Heights. Upon retirement, he worked part time as an electrician at Prendergast High School.
Predeceased by parents Adam and Helen, brothers Chet and Joe and sister Irene Natalino.
Survived by his wife Marylou (nee Kerrigan), beloved father of Carol Zelenkowski, Suzanne Pruchnik (Rich), and Linda Dougherty (Thomas) & 6 loving grandchildren Sarah and Nolan Pruchnik, Thomas, Peter, Billy, and Paige Dougherty.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank’s visitation on Sunday, July 2, 2017, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., O’Leary’s Funeral Home, 640 Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064. Monday, July 3, 2017, in Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA, 9:30 - 10:30 A.M, followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery.
