Laverty, Berger team up to help Gold shine in victory

The tandem of Julia Laverty and Peyton Berger supplied half the scoring for Springfiel­d Gold in its 28-18 victory over St. Francis in Monday night’s Springfiel­d Girls Basketball League action.

With Laverty and Berger teaming up for 14 points, Molly Convery netted nine to keep St. Francis within striking distance.
