Laverty, Berger team up to help Gold shine in victory

The tandem of Julia Laverty and Peyton Berger supplied half the scoring for Springfield Gold in its 28-18 victory over St. Francis in Monday night’s Springfield Girls Basketball League action.

With Laverty and Berger teaming up for 14 points, Molly Convery netted nine to keep St. Francis within striking distance.
