Casey announces Delaware County West Point appointments
U.S. Senator Bob Casey, D-Pa., announced that Bethany Hofmann and Courtney Loomis received appointments to the United States Military Academy. Hofmann is a graduate of Garnet Valley High School and Loomis a graduate of The Baldwin School.
“I have great faith in the excellence of our service academies and in the capabilities of these outstanding students,” Senator Casey said. “I am proud to congratulate Bethany and Courtney on their choice to commit themselves to the service of this nation. It is both humbling and energizing to see such well-rounded and accomplished young women dedicated to such a noble cause.”
Hofmann and Loomis were nominated by Senator Casey following an extensive application and interview process. The academy makes the final selection for appointments.
The United States Military Academy offers qualified applicants a unique opportunity to obtain a first-rate college education, as well as the chance to serve our country as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.
