Ridley scales Hilltop for Southeastern Pa. crown
In a rematch of the District 1 championship earlier this month, Ridley defeated Hilltop, 7-4, Tuesday to claim the Southeastern Pa. title. TJ Valletti and Braydon Scanlan collected two RBIs apiece. Brendan Soper had two hits, while Dylan Orr and Valetti each delivered clutch doubles to spur the Ridley bats.
Sean Dugan picked up the win on the mound, with help from relievers Scanlan and Orr.

Broomall-Newtown advanced to the final day of the Region 3 tournament with a 15-3 shellacking of Falls.
Alden Mathes carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning. He racked up 15 strikeouts in twirling a complete-game masterpiece.
Corey Woodcock was unstoppable at the plate, going 5-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Luke Cantwell went 3-for-5 with a homer and five RBIs, while Alden Mathes finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Scott Hahn (three RBIs), Luke Zimmerman (three runs) (three runs) knocks.

UDHL could not have performed much better in pool play at the state tournament in Altoona.
Paul Morgan piled up four RBIs in support of winning pitcher Danny Sullivan, who was provided with plenty of run support in UDHL’s 20-3 thumping of BroomallNewtown. UDHL improved to 4-0 in pool play and earned the No. 1 seed in the next round.
Kirby Rich and Sean Webb both knocked in a pair of runs, while Sam Kimmel, Nick Ardito and Sam Chesnut all had one RBI.

ends one earned run, as Media ended its run at the state tournament with an 11-3 triumph over Boyertown. Dmitri Partsanakis hurled a scoreless sixth and seventh in relief of Pennoni. Larry Kirk and Chris Goggin tag-teamed a two-hit shutout to lead the Marple Tigers to a 5-0 victory over Marple II, completing a semifinal series sweep.
The Tigers play Briarcliffe in the best-of-5 championship series beginning Sunday at Briarcliffe. First pitch is 5:45 p.m.
Mike McDevitt powered the Tigers bats with two hits and two RBIs. Brendan Morrow hit and two ribbies.

One day after relinquishing first place to Narberth, Aston Valley needed a bounceback win in the worst way.
Starting pitcher Pat Graham gave the Knights exactly what they needed, registering 12 strikeouts to lead a 4-1 victory over Upper Darby. Graham allowed only three hits over six innings. Kendall Small homered for a second straight game, a three-run shot to go with a double. Rob Caruso and Matt Domian added run-scoring doubles for the Knights. MIDDLETOWN 9, MARPLE NEWTOWN 8» The Lions jumped ahead of Upper Darby in the standings and moved within a point of tying Marple Newtown for the sixth and final playoff spot.
Josh Schneider broke a 7-7 deadlock in the top of the seventh with an RBI single. Chris Lansberry followed with a run-scoring hit, which proved to be the game-winner.
Anthony Kyle homered, doubled and drove in three runs. Tim Becker contributed two hits, including a triple, and an RBI.
