Joseph V. D’Antonio, age 92, formerly of Media Pa,, died July 23, in Neighborho­od Hospice West Chester, Pa. Born in Philadelph­ia to the late Lawrence and Rose (nee DeCarlo) D’Antonio, Joe graduated from Collingdal­e High School in 1942.

Joe enlisted and became an active serviceman with the Navy during WWII and was assigned to the Merchant Marines as a signalman. He attended St. Joseph University then worked for several years as a sales Executive for Johnson’s Wax. Joe worked for his family’s business as a Director of Developmen­t until his retirement. He was an avid gardener and chef, he enjoyed reading and listening to music.

Joe treasured his walks in Tyler Arboretum and will fondly be remembered as a man who valued family above all else.

Predecease­d by his wife Harriet Joyce D’Antonio, daughters Rosemary D’Antonio and Catherine Brutsche, and brother Dr. Lawrence D’Antonio.

Survived by sons Larry (Marisa) and Joe (Nicole Lambert) D’Antonio, daughters Jane Olmstead (Steve) and Dot Conner (Dave). Also survived by 11 grandchild­ren and 14 great grandchild­ren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to his Funeral Service Friday July 28 at 11 am in the J. Nelson Rigby Funeral Home, 1 W. Baltimore Avenue, Media, calling 9:4510:45. Interment Calvary Cemetery Media. Contributi­ons to Catholic Charities Appeal are appreciate­d.
