PROVIDENCE ANIMAL CENTER PET OF THE WEEK: ANNIE
7-year-old female Australian Cattle Dog blend Meet Annie, the lovable, timid Australian Cattle Dog blend who is waiting on the right family to bring her home. She has a beautiful merle-spotted coat with highlights of tan. Annie was rescued from a southern overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where she is hanging out with staff and volunteers until she is ready to be made part of a family. Annie is dog-friendly and best for older children. She is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Providence Animal Center hours for adoption are Monday-Friday from Noon-7 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from Noon-5 p.m.
FRANCISVALE PET OF THE WEEK: MARIGOLD
Gardeners sometimes employ the technique of companion planting in order for pairings to enjoy improved growth through supporting each other. Marigolds are a good example of a plant that provides invaluable support for others. You can experience your own version of this if you team up with our 14 month old Marigold. Her first experience as being that “companion plant” came when, as a homeless kitty, she sheltered on the grounds of an assisted living facility where she befriended a loving and kind woman.
