- COMMON SENSE FOREVER

KIP, YOU ROCK

I’d like to congratulate Kip for celebrating 20 years of service as bartender on Aug. 3. Congratulations to her on two decades of fine service. JIM

SEEING CLEARLY

Do I need glasses or what? Why do all the fancy creams that are supposed to keep women wrinkle free always show girls 25 years and younger on the packaging and in commercials? Am I missing the point? GRAMMY

OVER A BARREL

To “Get In Line,” well, you can have one more from Linwood who’s going to be in line for the Ridley Cracker Barrel when it opens up. Yes, it will be a sight to behold if all these people show up. I like Cracker Barrel. I’ve only been to the one in Lancaster a few times but it’s very good and I love their gift shop. I hope they have a great gift shop here, too. JUST SAYING IN LINWOOD

WHO IS THE KILLER?

Just a question here: Did they ever find a killer for Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman yet? They’ve got plenty of information. They should really be looking for the killer, shouldn’t they?

AN ANGEL AT CVS

I would like to thank the very lovely young lady who paid my CVS bill last Sunday. It was very, very nice of her. There are still wonderful people in this world. Thank you again.

ABOUT IMPEACHMENT

I think the Delco Times needs to publish an article about impeachment, because I don’t think all these people in Sound Off who keep calling in about impeaching Trump realize what the word means. The president is impeached, it’s like serving an indictment. The president would be charged but doesn’t mean he leaves the office. Trump may be impeached in the House but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be voted out of office by the Senate.

FAKE UNION MEMBER

I doubt if “Building Trade Member” is actually a building trade member, because if they were they would understand that when people have their water polluted they want something done about it. A real building trade member would blame the lack of safety measures from Sunoco that caused this problem in the first place.

FAKE CARTOON

I’d like to thank the Times for running for the “Fake news, fake president” cartoon this week. It made my day.

FAKE LIST

I agree with “What Has Trump Done.” Right-wingers are always asking us to list stuff that the Republicans have done to damage the middle class, and when we lift them they still don’t believe it. But Trump supporters don’t ever list his alleged accomplishments, they just keep saying “he’s done more six months than Obama did in eight years.” So, what has he done?

WE DON’T NEED NO EDUCATION

I’m tired of people pushing down people’s throats about getting an education. Education is what you get in life; what you learn about it from common sense. Anybody can go to college and be stupid and play and all that and be what they want to be and end up. Half of these college people today that come out don’t have jobs or the profession they go in they don’t have enough common sense to deal with the person and everything else. They should come out and make our college for people to learn common sense in life first before anything. Some people don’t even know when to come in out of the rain because they’re intellectual idiots and they stand out in it.

PLAYING GAMES

I couldn’t agree more with the caller on the Times not running anything on the current Debbie Wasserman Schultz situation. The mainstream media is continuing the policy that was implemented during the tenure of the worst president this country ever had, Barack Obama. They played patty cake with him for eight years. He got away with things and no Republican could ever dare get away with. It’s the same old story.

, the Democrats can do and say whatever they want, and the Republicans get blasted no matter what. You know what? Maybe you should keep it up. It’s turning more and more people away from the Democratic Party because of the corruption being allowed to go on.
