Delco students earn honors, degrees around country
Cabrini University
RADNOR » The following local students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester: Jordan Floyd of Darby and Daija Little of Lansdowne.
The following local received degrees at the university’s 57th commencement on Sunday, May 21: Christina M. McCullough of Clifton Heights, B.A., criminology; Samantha Maria Cimarelli of Clifton Heights, B.A., psychology; Jordan Chantel Floyd of Darby, Bachelor of Social Work.
Cabrini officially became a University on July 1, 2016, making the Class of 2017 the first graduating class of the University.
Catholic University America of
WASHINGTON, D.C. » Catherine Houseman of Folsom, a 2013 graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, graduated Summa Cum Laude during the university’s May 13 commencement exercises. Houseman majored in politics with a minor in Asian Studies and Mandarin Chinese. She received the James E. Dornan Award from the Department of Politics during the commencement ceremony, given to the most distinguished politics senior. Houseman is a member of four honor societies: Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Sigma Alpha, Pi Gamma Mu and Phi Eta Sigma.
During her time at the university, she was captain of the CUA Gaels Competition Irish Dance Team, an intern on Capitol Hill for U.S. Rep. Bob Brady (D-Pa.) and studied abroad in Dublin, Ireland.
She will be attending Temple University Beasley School of Law in the fall semester on a full scholarship.
