New computers coming to Wesley House through UPS Foundation

-

MEDIA » Community Action Agency of Delaware County CEO Edward T. Coleman announces CAADC received a grant of $5,000 from The UPS Foundation to purchase new computers at the Wesley House Shelter. The grant was recommended by UPS employees that had completed a volunteer project at the homeless shelter.

The Wesley House Shelter, 701 Madison St., Chester, serves homeless families and single women from Delaware County. The grant will be used for purchasing new computers for the shelter’s computer room, supporting children with completing their homework and adults to conduct job and housing searches. In addition, the computer room is used for CAADC’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program which provides free tax assistance and financial literacy instruction to eligible residents.

“We truly appreciate the support of UPS,” Coleman said. “This shows how much they care about their community.”

The UPS Foundation drives global corporate citizenship and philanthropic programs for UPS.
