THANKS FOR LUNCH

Thank you to the person or persons who picked up the tab for my lunch at the Italian Delight on MacDade Boulevard in Ridley on Friday. Thank you very much. I appreciate that and didn’t expect it; and Semper Fi.

BRING BACK THE KING

I’m with the other callers. I would like for them to put my “Elvis & Friends” back on Olds 98 on Sunday mornings. We all miss that. LINDA FROM EDDYSTONE

GET RID OF GUS

I just want to say Gus the lottery groundhog is the most annoying character on TV. The state really needs to get a new ad agency for that. Thank you.

YOU’LL GET YOURS

To the person in the light-blue small SUV that hit me in the rear at South Avenue and MacDade Boulevard on Saturday morning: The least you could’ve done when I pulled over was to say I’m sorry, but you got in the other lane and sped off. I know you have handicap tags and I saw some of your other numbers, so don’t be surprised if you get a citation. That was just rude. M.J. IN GLENOLDEN

BUMPS IN THE ROAD

The Democrats and Republicans have been sniping at each other for some time. I offer a change of pace: Look at your windows at the road we drive on every day. Start at Baltimore Pike and Oak Avenue, run down to Calcon Hook Road. I had a smoother ride on the Wild Mouse down the seashore. Let’s fix the roads. ED IN GLENOLDEN

ACID IS BACK

I want to thank say KYW news for forming you that LSD is back in vogue. I wonder the employees’ kids and grandkids were listening. JUST WONDERING DAN

JUST YOU WAIT

If the police think they have a problem with medical marijuana contributing to DUIs and how to treat them, as the Sunday Times stated, they’re going to be in a whole lot of trouble when recreational marijuana is legalized, like Daylin Leach and some other liberal politicians want to do. If you can if medical marijuana is causing problems on the road, recreational marijuana will triple it easily.

SOMETHING WRONG HERE

I agree with “Scout’s Dishonor” that there is something definitely wrong with Donald Trump, but there’s even more wrong with his supporters. They not only accept his behavior, they actually support and applaud his behavior, too, and that is really wrong.

DOWN THE DRAIN

Now that the Clifton Heights Taj Mahal is almost built, maybe they’re going to start cleaning the drains in Clifton Heights. I hope so. And maybe they’ll put up that speed sign. Nobody knows what the limit if on South Springfield Road. TAXPAYER IN CLIFTON

ROADS TO RUIN

I completely understand that the roads need to be repaired and men need to work on them in order to repair them, but to tear up half the roads in the town at one time, close them off, make it difficult for people to get to work, is ridiculous. Why can’t we do a little bit of time to finish it so people can still drive around? And in Drexel Hill, Childs Avenue between Garrett Road and Lasher is an absolute mess of large, sharp stones it could have been at least swept up so people wouldn’t get flat tires. The bridge on Rosemont Avenue has been closed forever and now I understand that there’s a problem with it. Who is responsible for this stuff? This is absolute drain on the taxpayers.

THINGS ARE LOOKING UP

I was listening to a liberal government radio show and it was funny, as the liberal interviewer Tom Ashbrook sounded like he was in pain when the three expert/scholar/ economist guests said that the economy is doing very well. It makes sense, since we have a businessman who is successful in office right now. The host was not enjoying this, trying to say that “Trump says this, Trump says that.” And have you noticed that – outside of college campuses – the riots in the streets have calmed since Trump has been in office?
