Eleanor M. Doperak (Andrews), 86, formerly of Ridley Township, died August 8, 2017 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center. Born and raised in Philadelph­ia, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Andrews and Eleanor (O’Neil) Andrews. She then resided in Ridley Township before going to her late residence four years ago. Eleanor was the Tax Collector for Ridley Township/Ridley School District. She proudly was the first woman to hold that position. She was a graduate of John Bartram High School, class of 1948. She also was a social member of the Ridley Township Woman’s Republican Organizati­on and previously was Committee Woman for the 4th and 7th Wards of Ridley Township.

She was the wife of the late Nicholas Doperak, her husband of 64 years who passed in 2016, mother of the late James Doperak, and sister of the late Arthur, Wilbur and Jeannette Andrews.

Eleanor is survived by her children Jeannette Horn (Jack) and Nicholas J. Doperak (Theresa); her sisters Betty Ann Langer and Helen Warren; her sister in law Dolores Andrews; six grandchild­ren; four great grandchild­ren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass 11:00AM Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Gabriel R.C. Church 233 Mohawk Ave., Norwood, PA. Visitation 9 to 10:15AM at White-Luttrell Funeral Home 311 N.
