Angie (Nan) Schweizer

Angie (Nan) Schweizer was born in Glenolden, Pennsylvania on October 3, 1923. She was the daughter of Francis and Susan Martin.

Nan served in WWII as a Naval Intelligence officer in Washington D.C. She was just recently honored in 2015 with an honor flight where her name was added to the Women’s Memorial in Arlington Virginia. Following the war she worked as a secretary for many years, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her husband Edward Schweizer and family.

Angie is predeceased by her husband Edward; brothers Joseph (Lillian), Francis (Mary), son, ED (Linda). Survivors include, daughters, Sue (Bill) and Theresa (Albert); “baby” brother, Jack Martin (Peggie); eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one loving niece.

Angie is survived by her love for her many friends who she proudly called “her family” she was everyones “Nan”.

A gathering of friends will be held at St. Kevins Church, 200 W Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064 Thursday, August 31st at 10 am with a service to follow at 11 am.
