I just wanted to thank the bride and groom who had their wedding reception at the Springfield Country Club on Aug. 19 for sending over their beautiful flowers from the reception to Harley Manor. There were so many great comments and they were absolutely beautiful. It brightened the day of the residents and their families who were visiting them. Thank you again and we wish you a happy, loving long life together.
EDUCATION = IDIOTS
How come the kids are going back to school before Labor Day? Back in the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s when I went to school, we never went back to school until after Labor Day. If I were a kid today, I would cut school because I never wanted to go back, anyhow. What’s going on in this country? Are we trying to make a bunch of intellectual idiots, more and more? We have enough of them already.
COMPROMISE? ME?
So did you catch Mitch McConnell making excuses why they can’t get anything done in Congress? “Oh, governing is messy” and some other choice words. You know what he forgot to say? “We don’t know how to compromise.” That’s what he didn’t say. You know why? Because he knows it’s true. The biggest thing you need to be a politician is to know how to compromise. And since we don’t know how to compromise any more. That’s at the heart of everything wrong with America – it’s all about me, me, me.

To “This Bites” regarding Medicare: I agree with you. They should give dental care because it is part of our body. They also do not use eye care, which is another part of our body. They already don’t give us what we’re worth after working on our lives. M.J.

JEEPERS CREEPERS
I heard excerpts on television last week from Hillary Clinton’s new book “What Happened” where she’s calling Donald Trump a creep. Between her conduct her entire adult life and being married to Bill Clinton that whole time, she has a lot of nerve calling Donald Trump a creep. Not that Trump is a morally upstanding individual, but she should really look at herself and her husband before she badmouths him.

After the fight this past weekend, I think Conor McGregor would make a great Democrat: Running his yap, making promises he couldn’t keep, thinking he’s better than what he is, getting nowhere. After Floyd stopped him, he was still out there running his yap after the fight – typical Democrat. I know Chelsea and Michelle Obama are out there buying pantsuits trying to be the next Hillary, but I think the Democrats are going to figure out how to ram an amendment through to run McGregor.

SESSIONS OF PERJURY
“Clap Off” says that James Clapper should hide his head because he’s damaged goods who lied under oath. First off, James Clapper admitted that he made erroneous statements under oath, as this caller says. I’m sure “Clap Off” has no problem with Jeff Sessions keeping his job as Attorney General when he absolutely lied under oath during his Senate confirmation hearing and still refuses to retract his lies.
WHAT A MESS
“Dems Breaks” is the one who’s absolutely clueless. I guess “Dems Breaks” has a crystal ball that would’ve seen what Kennedy would have done had he lived, because “Dems Breaks” says he didn’t get a chance to mess up as if he would definitely have messed up. Well, Donald Trump has had a chance to mess for six months, and he’s messed up every day of the entire six months. WORST PRESIDENT IN MY LIFETIME
