FRIENDS IN FOLSOM

I would like to thank the men who pushed my car to the curb when it broke down on Friday, Aug. 25, in Folsom. Also I want to thank the people who offered to help. I really appreciate every one of you and your concern. Thanks again.

ANOTHER TRUMP LIE

A report came out that Trump’s personal lawyer contacted Kremlin to try to get one of Trump’s condominiums built in Russia. This seems to the undercut his claims that he never had any business dealings in Russia. This isn’t surprising to anybody except for Trump’s idiotic supporters, because the rest of us have accepted the fact the Trump is a pathological liar. And we all knew that when he said they didn’t have business dealings in Russia, he was lying.

FEND FOR YOURSELF, TEXAS

People from all over the country are sending help to Houston for the flooding. We’re been sending people from Pennsylvania to help. Where our all the millionaires and billionaires in Dallas? Where are all the cattle barons and oil billionaires living out there? They could lend the people the dinghys off their yachts to help with rescues. They’re very silent in all this. ONE MOE TIME

After reading an article in the Times about how the Beatles’ mop-top haircuts caused a demise of the barber shops in the 1960s, it they got me to wondering who was the inspiration for the Beatles haircut. Then it occurred to me – Moe Howard of the Three Stooges was the inspiration for the Beatles haircut. Think about it. Watch an episode of the Three Stooges, take a good look at Moe and you’ll realize that he was the inspiration for the Beatles haircut. So let’s give some long overdue credit to Moe. SHEMP IN MORTON

WHAT’S UP, PENNDOT?

This week I was driving from Aston up I-95 North and four PennDOT trucks are blocking the road again to do repairs. That’s the third time or so I’ve seen them there. I don’t know what they’re doing, but it sure looks like a waste of taxpayer dollars, whatever it is. I think it ought to stop and this governor better worry about getting the state a balanced budget. Stop sending these crews to do the same work over and over again. What’s the matter, can’t be do it right? ENRAGED MOTORIST

DON’T NEED NO EDUCATION

You ever hear about these intellectual idiots with a lot of money leaving it to a college for education? Well, let’s knock that off. Why don’t you big shots all get together now and send food and money down to Houston to help those people out. They need food and shelter, which is much more important than leaving your big money to “higher education” and all that baloney. Let’s get some common sense. Send some money down to help people for food and shelter. That’s what they need the most of, not this “higher education” stupid stuff.

YET ANOTHER TRUMP LIE

OK, Mr. Trump – now he has a chance to show if he’s going to back his words up or if he’s full of it like everyone else in politics. What did he say a while ago? If North Korea were to threaten any of our allies there would be a response. Well, wouldn’t you consider them shooting a missile over Japan a threat? Think of this: What would we do if some country were to shoot a missile over the United States? Oh, that would be a different story. We would knocked it down in the Atlantic or the Pacific Ocean before it never got here, right? But you know, this was thousands of miles across the Pacific. So that means we do just a training exercise with Japan and South Korea.

RAISE THE GAS TAX

I’m a longtime reader, first-time caller. Our federal government is going to have to step to the plate and face a huge recovery bill in the billions. In Gulf storms, Hurricane Katrina may prove to be the entrylevel storm, so we here in the Northeast have to recognize the economic value of the oil-producing Gulf of Mexico. The federal government should increase the gas tax by one cent to help pay for this. ONE WHO KNOWS
