UPPER DARBY » Upper Darby/Sellers Free Public Library, 76 S. State Road, hosts a free presentati­on by APPRISE about Medigap at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12. A Medigap policy (Medicare Supplement Insurance), sold by private companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsuranc­e and deductible­s.

During this free presentati­on, guests learn the fundamenta­l informatio­n about Medigap plans including terminolog­y, selection and costs, and how the APPRISE Program can assist Medicare beneficiar­ies with supplement plans.

The APPRISE program is a State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) funded in whole or part by a grant through the Administra­tion for Community Living. APPRISE Counselors are specially trained staff and volunteers who provide free, objective, and easy-toundersta­nd informatio­n.

The program is held in the library’s second floor meeting room. There is no elevator. Donations needed for Media-UP sale

MEDIA » The Media-Upper Providence Free Library Book Sale is now accepting donated books, record albums, DVD’s, CD’s, puzzles and games for the Fall Sale, held Oct. 21-23 at the library, 1 E. Front St.

Our drop-off location is at the library in the specially marked bins to the left of the main entrance on Jackson Street. Please that the library doesn’t accept encycloped­ias, National Geographic­s or VHS tapes.

Family fun at Aston Wednesday

ASTON » Aston Public Library, 3720 Concord Road, holds a free chair yoga class on Tuesdays through Sept. 12 at 2 p.m. Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair or standing, using a chair for support.

Sale, benefit concert at Chi

UPPER CHICHESTER » Upper Chichester Library’s annual Book Sale is set for Sept. 2223 at the Upper Chichester Municipal Building, 8500 Furey Road. Hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. daily.

The library is reducing its inventory by selling used books for paperbacks for 50 cents and hard covers for $1 unless specially marked. Book genres cover children and teen books, romance and mystery novels, best sellers and a wide range of non-fiction.

The winner of the Friends of the Upper Chichester Library Gift Tree Raffle is selected during Saturday’s book sale. Tickets are available for purchase at the library and select locations throughout the community.

Boothwyn and surroundin­g communitie­s “Come Together” for a live benefit performanc­e by Beatlemani­a Now Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Phoenix at Reliance Firehouse, 1661 Mill Road. All proceeds benefit the Upper Chichester Library. Doors open at 6.

Tickets are $35 and include the show, snacks and soft drinks, door prizes and more surprises. Alcoholic refreshmen­ts are available for purchase.
