Dolores Loretta (nee Tamaccio) Antonelli

Dolores Loretta (nee Tamaccio) Antonelli, age 90, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 6, 2017.

Born on January 13, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, Dolores, daughter of Anthony and Cornelia Tamaccio, was a long-time resident of Springfield and Ridley Park.

She was a lovely, lively, special lady who loved her family, her children, her grandchildren and all of their friends.

Dolores loved working as a waitress at the Towne House in Media, the Mendenhall Inn, and the Rose Tree Inn. She loved caring for others, hosting family gatherings and parties, and cooking and feeding all those she loved. A devoted mother, a beloved grandmother, and a treasured caregiver and friend. She will be truly missed by many.

Dolores is survived by her beloved companion, two daughters, Kathleen McLaughlin Mitchell (Allen Zappone), and Lori (Bill) Schmidt, and a son, Daniel (Maureen) Antonelli. She is also survived by a sister, Irene DiIenno, and a brother, William Tamaccio, seven grandchildren; Tony, Christopher (Angela), Danielle (Joe), Brian (Megan), Sebastian, Dorian, and Nico; and four great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Vito, Francis, and Robert, and her sisters Rose Ann and Dorothy.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, September 10, 2017, after 7:00 PM at the Kovacs Funeral Home, Inc., 530 W. Woodland Ave, Springfield, PA 19064. On Monday September 11, 2017 there will be a viewing at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2130 Franklin Ave, Morton, PA 19070.

Interment will be in SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield , PA.
