Ruth H. Wells

Ruth H. Wells, age 94 of Jennersville, Pa. formerly of Rutledge, Pa., passed away peacefully on September 3, 2017.

The daughter of the late Iva and Elwood F. Hartz, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Wells and her son, Edward A. Wells of Biloxi, Mississippi.

Ruth was the beloved mother of daughter Ruthann W. Burman and son-in-law Joseph of West Chester, Pa. Daughter-in-law Joan Rakoski of Woodlyn Pa. Dearest grandmother to Sean E. Wells of Woodlyn, Jill Scaggs and husband Christopher, also of Woodlyn, Mark J. Burman of Annapolis, MD. and loving great-grandmother of Tyler W. Lavin, Joshua, Jacob and Jared Manny.

Ruth was a life long member of Kedron United Methodist Church until recent years when she attended West Grove United Methodist Church. Ruth practiced a faith-centered life and was involved in Bible Study, teaching, fund-raising and was active in the Mission Service and the many projects of the United Methodist Women’s groups.

She was a driving force in her family, and was always doing for others. She was happiest doing things with her family. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also had lots of fun enjoying the antics of the family dog “Lukee”.

A Memorial Service and Interment at Edgewood Memorial Park was held on , September 9, 2017.
