It is with great sad­ness that the fam­ily of Joseph A. Arndt an­nounces his pass­ing after an ex­tended ill­ness, on Au­gust 7, 2017, at the age of 58 years, at his home in Palm Springs, CA. He was born to Joseph A. and Con­stance E. Arndt on Jan­uary 10, 1959.

Joseph “Joey” grew up in Spring­field, Delaware Co., PA and grad­u­ated from Spring­field High School. After high school he at­tended and grad­u­ated from the Set­tle­ment School of Mu­sic and The Cur­tis In­sti­tute of Mu­sic, both in Philadel­phia. He then be­gan his ca­reer as a pi­anist, en­ter­tain­ing peo­ple across the many venues in his trav­els across the United States. Joey was a mem­ber of St. Theresa’s Church in Palm Springs, CA where he also en­joyed serv­ing as an or­gan­ist.

Joey al­ways had a fun and joy­ful spirit. His quick wit sur­prised many as he loved to make oth­ers laugh. His will­ing­ness to help, share, and give of him­self en­deared him to his many friends and fam­ily. This was ex­em­pli­fied by his as­sist­ing in the res­cu­ing of an el­derly friend in New Or­leans dur­ing hur­ri­cane Katrina. He will be sadly missed by ev­ery­one whose life he touched.

Joseph was pre­ceded in death by both his par­ents. Sur­viv­ing are three sis­ters who adored him: Con­nie Jo (Louis) An­gelini of New Jersey, Bar­bara (George) Rizzo of Wil­liamsport, PA, and Nina (Rick) Sadler of Me­chan­ics­burg, PA.

Vis­i­ta­tion: Satur­day, Septem­ber 23, 2017, from 9:00 - 9:45 am at St. Pius X Church, 220 S. Lawrence Rd., Broomall, PA.

Funeral Mass: Satur­day, Septem­ber 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Pius X Church.

Burial: Ss. Peter and Paul Ceme­tery, Spring­field, PA.
