-

It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph A. Arndt announces his passing after an extended illness, on August 7, 2017, at the age of 58 years, at his home in Palm Springs, CA. He was born to Joseph A. and Constance E. Arndt on January 10, 1959.

Joseph “Joey” grew up in Springfield, Delaware Co., PA and graduated from Springfield High School. After high school he attended and graduated from the Settlement School of Music and The Curtis Institute of Music, both in Philadelphia. He then began his career as a pianist, entertaining people across the many venues in his travels across the United States. Joey was a member of St. Theresa’s Church in Palm Springs, CA where he also enjoyed serving as an organist.

Joey always had a fun and joyful spirit. His quick wit surprised many as he loved to make others laugh. His willingness to help, share, and give of himself endeared him to his many friends and family. This was exemplified by his assisting in the rescuing of an elderly friend in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina. He will be sadly missed by everyone whose life he touched.

Joseph was preceded in death by both his parents. Surviving are three sisters who adored him: Connie Jo (Louis) Angelini of New Jersey, Barbara (George) Rizzo of Williamsport, PA, and Nina (Rick) Sadler of Mechanicsburg, PA.
