Carolyn Leanora McErlean (nee Castle)

Carolyn Leanora McErlean (nee Castle) of Wallingford, PA and formally of Aldan, was brought to the Lord and his Blessed Mother Mary suddenly on Friday, September 15, 2017.

Devoted wife of 50 years to Michael; caring mother to Christopher (Michele) of Hummelstown, Patrick (Elizabeth) of Swarthmore, Juliet Malley (Daniel) of Wallingford and Brian of Fort Myers, FL. Loving grandmother to Maura, Cara, Oliva, Alexis, Aidan, Ava, Morgan, Benjamin and Emmett and dear sister to Robert Castle (Donna.) Carol was predeceased by her father John Castle, Jr., mother Mary (nee Kearney) and brother John.

Born April 21, 1945 in Darby, “Carol Lee” was a graduate of Holy Cross School in Springfield, The Holy Child Academy in Sharon Hill, Mount Aloysius Junior College in Cresson and attended Neumann University in Aston.

Loved by so many friends and family, Carol was dedicated to her duties serving the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Blessed Virgin Mary Parish and was passionate in her devotion to the Perpetual Novena for Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, St. Anthony and Saint Pio of Pietrelcina.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, September 23rd from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with a Catholic Mass of Remembrance to follow at 10:45 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1901 Chester Pike, Eddystone.

Family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions to BVM St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1101 Main St., Darby, PA 19023.
