Cunningham helps Episcopal stay undefeated

Johnny Cunningham put two in the back of the net and Gabrielle Furey scored another goal off a great assist from Harrison Malone as Episcopal Academy remained undefeated in boys soccer with a 3-0 nonleague triumph over Lawrencevi­lle.

Manion and Alex Geczy had one save apiece for the Churchmen (9-0), who had a 2-0 advantage at halftime.

In the Catholic League: BONNER & PRENDERGAS­T 1, ST. JOE’S PREP 1» Andrew Markopoulo­s opened up the scoring in the first half and goalie Tony Harper made nine stops in net as the Friars could not hold the lead after halftime on Tuesday night.

Bree Kyle goal in the second overtime gave Bonner & Prendergas­t a thrilling 2-1 nonleague victory over Upper Darby.

RADNOR 1, ST. HUBERT 0 » Sarah Daiutolo’s first half goal was the difference for the Raiders. Goalie Anna Gurian had an inspiring effort in leading the Raiders to the victory.

Also in nonleague action: HILL SCHOOL 3, ACADEMY OF NOTRE DAME 2» Lily McStravick and Juliet Marchesani each posted a goal while goaltender Caroline Kramer had six saves for the Pandas and three stops for the Irish. The Hill School converted a penalty kick in the closing minutes to seal the victory.

In the Ches-Mont League: SUN VALLEY 1, DOWNINGTOW­N WEST 1 » Veronica Roth converted a penalty kick to get the Vanguards on the board in the first half. The Cougars tied the game in the second half despite a strong effort from Amy Park in goal for SV. She finished with 11 saves.
