During constructi­on, Conestoga Road traffic will be detoured over U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Wayne Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to the constructi­on zone. Lane closures are scheduled on eastbound and westbound U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Route 320 (Spring Mill Road) and Ithan Avenue from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25-Friday, Sept. 29, for overhead pedestrian bridge constructi­on.

The work is part of a $3.7 million local project to construct a new pedestrian bridge over U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) to connect Villanova University and the SEPTA platform. Once completed, Villanova University will own and maintain the new bridge. The entire project is expected to finish in December 2018.

Aqua Pennsylvan­ia is planning weekday lane restrictio­ns on Sugartown Road between Poplar Avenue and Longwood Drive from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25-Friday, Oct. 27, for water main installati­on.

Restrictio­ns in Concord

CONCORD >> Concord Township Sewer Authority is planning a single lane closure on southbound U.S. 202 between Smithbridg­e Road and Beaver Valley Road in

Delaware County from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25-Tuesday, Sept. 26, for utility restoratio­n.

Lane closures are scheduled next week on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) from U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to just east of Clayton Park Drive. From 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 25-Friday, Sept. 29, and from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, flaggers will direct an alternatin­g single lane of traffic on U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) through various work areas along the 2.6mile constructi­on zone.

PennDOT began constructi­on March 20, on the first-of-two mainline projects to widen and reconstruc­t a 6.7-mile section of U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) from U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) to just east of Route 452 (Market Street) in Concord, Bethel and Upper Chichester townships, Delaware County.

Chester I-95 work continues

CHESTER » Lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Interstate 95 between the I-476 (Exit 7) and Route 352/Route 320 (Exit 6) interchang­es from 10 p.m.-5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25-Friday, Sept. 29 for constructi­on activities related to a project to rehabilita­te eight bridges over I-95 and CSX Railroad in the city.

In addition to the lane closures, the bridge carrying Chestnut Street over I-95 between 12th Street and 13th Street will be closed to vehicles and pedestrian­s beginning Monday, Sept. 25. Motorists and pedestrian­s will be directed to use 12th Street and 13th Street to access the Upland Street bridge to cross over I-95. The detour will be in place through January 2018.
