Baysah’s pair of goals paces Ridley to a win
Joy Baysah tallied twice and Gabriel Elbasini added one goal and two assists to carry Ridley to a 5-2 nonleague boys soccer victory over Chichester Saturday.

Carli Johnston put home a Schicklin pass early in the second half to put the Cougars (43-1) up, 1-0. Casey Purfield tied it for Sun Valley on a shot from about 25 yards out. Girls Volleyball
Maddie Donaphon (18 digs) and Elise Butler (eight digs) powered the defense as Notre Dame remained undefeated with a 3-0 victory over Conestoga. Butler also had 11 kills as the Irish won, 25-14, 25-18, 25-19.
Riley Shaak pitched in with eight kills and eight blocks. RIDLEY 3, OXFORD 1 » Angela April was huge at the net (18 kills) and on defense (16 digs) as the Green Raiders won 19-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-23.
Melanie June added 30 digs and five aces, while Jackie Kelly contributed 41 assists
Cross Country
Elizabeth Mancini took second (18:57) and her twin sister Eleanor was third (19:02) to pace defending PIAA Class 3A champion Cardinal O’Hara to seventh place in the girls gold race at the PIAA Foundation meet. Christine Mancini placed 19th.
Jenna Rastatter from Bonner & Prendergast finished 21st in the girls blue race.
In the boys blue race, Anthony Harper of Bonner & Prendergast was third with a time of 16:56. Thomas McNicholas of Cardinal O’Hara was the top county finisher in the boys gold race. He was 23rd in 17:09.
Avery Lederer of Penncrest took home the boys varsity title to highlight the local action at the Penncrest Invitational.
Lederer won in 15 minutes, 54 seconds, 1:08 ahead of second-place finisher Will Merhige of The Haverford School. Adam Gramo-Penston of Penncrest was seventh. Oxford topped Penncrest for the team title.
On the girls side, Liz Egan from Penncrest took second. Naomi Millen of Pottsgrove won the race.
Boys Water Polo
Ryan LaRocca had a big day as The Haverford School topped Pennridge (17-11) and Governor Mifflin (11-7) in the second day of the Beast of the East Tournament.
LaRocca had three goals, five assists and two steals in the win over Pennridge and added three goals, two assists and two steals in the victory over Governor Mifflin. John lling had seven goals, six steals and four drawn ejections in the two games.
