Tillman’s widow: Pat’s legacy not for politicizing
Marie Tillman, the widow of former NFL player and Army Ranger Pat Tillman, says her husband’s service “should never be politicized in a way that divides us.”
Marie Tillman spoke to CNN after President Donald Trump retweeted an account referencing Pat Tillman and using the hashtag #StandForOurAnthem.
“As a football player and soldier, Pat inspired countless Americans to unify,” Marie Tillman said. “It is my hope that his memory should always remind people that we must come together.”
S.C. restaurant bans games

David McCraw of the Palmetto Restaurant and Ale House in Greenville said he would no longer show NFL games after players began kneeling during the anthem.
Laraque embarrassed Pens going to White House

Laraque, who was a black player in a predominantly white league, told The Canadian Press that even though hockey is more conservative than other sports “this time it’s just wrong.”
