Theresa (DeBerardinis) Bell

Theresa (DeBerardinis) Bell, age 89, formerly of Wilmington, DE died on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA.

Mrs. Bell was born in Ossining, NY, to the late Lucy (Fiore) and Caesar DeBerardinis but spent most of her life in Wallingford and West Chester, PA before moving to Wilmington in 1978.

She graduated from Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA in 1945 and then attended Temple University evening school. Mrs. Bell worked as a chemical technician for American Viscose/FMC for 31 years then for ICI Americas, Inc., for 10 years before retirement. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, ballroom dancing and music.

Mrs. Bell was predeceased by husband, Raymond E. Bell in 2010; her sisters, Josephine Brandolini and Virginia Hubbert. She is survived by her loving siblings, Consiglia DeLia (Dan), Caesar DeBerardinis (Nancy) and Ralph DeBerardinis (Camille); 2 step daughters, Linda Garton and Deborah Warfel and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at St. Maximilian Kolbe, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382 from 8:45 – 9:45 am, on Friday, October 6, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 am. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Matthews R.C. Church, BVM Sodality, 1013 E. Newport Gap Pike, Wilmington, DE 19804 (payable to BVM Sodality) or Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E. Marshall St., West Chester, PA 19380.
