GOOD NEWS ON TV

Kudos to ABC this week for Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest giving that trip to that lady who’s fighting such a courageous battle with cancer. I am I watch Channel 6 every morning and “Live with Kelly and Ryan” and I think they’re still good people in America. MARGIE C. FROM UPPER CHICHESTER

TAKE LID OFF POT

To the callers talking about drug tests, let’s get to the real issue – employers having hardline policies against pot. Most every other drug is out of your system in one to three days. If you can’t lay off of a drug for that period of know when you know you have a test coming up then you’re an addict and it’s understandable that you’re get turned down. Recreational marijuana equivalent to going out to a bar once or twice a week is disqualifying people, and that’s the issue that needs to be addressed, not drug tests in general.

BLAME THE MEDIA

Did “Once A Moron” ever stop to think that maybe we never heard a cabinet member call the president a moron because of the lack of a 24-hour news cycle desperate for anything and everything to report on? JUST ASKING

THE CASE FOR TRUMP

This business about Republicans for the rich – Nancy Pelosi’s worth a couple hundred million dollars. No matter what laws she puts into place it’s not going to affect her. Chuck Schumer is the Wall Street senator. His voice is where the bankers and the Wall Street guys. He’s not passing anything for a little guy. And whatever Trump does to the Republicans, who cares? They don’t do anything now. They just waste our tax dollars left and right. Go Trump. MR. TOM IN LINWOOD

ANOTHER TRUMP LIE

Donald Trump tweeted Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker didn’t have the guts to run for re-election and begged Trump for his endorsement, which is a complete lie. Trump actually asked Corker to run again and said if he would, he would support him. This is another example of Trump’s unfitness for office. His administration has been missed using taxpayer money to fly all over the country and the world, and nobody says anything about it. Donald Trump is a despicable piece of flotsam. BOB FROM SHARON HILL

THOSE WEAK JUDGES

This week I saw something on the news which absolutely stunned me and needs to be a wakeup call that the judicial system needs a complete overhaul. A guy was picked up on a on the charge in Philadelphia and had 15 prior arrests. You wonder why you have such a crime problem in his country? It goes right back to the judicial system and lenient judges.

COAL IN HIS STOCKING

Besides being a paranoid weirdo, Scott Pruitt is also proving that he’s idiot, because only a complete moron would roll back environmental regulations on coal-fired power plants.

DELCO QUALITY

Kudos “Future Shock.” Yes, you’re probably right – what you’re reading Sound Off is not a sampling of your typical 20th century or 21st century Delaware Countian. What you see in Sound Off is the people that can actually read and put more than one or two sentences together without their cell phone. The rest of Delaware County is too busy getting high, getting drunk or sneaking out back to have a cigarette and peek at Facebook and Twitter to take the time to care or read what’s in the daily newspaper. Yeah, you’re right, “Future Shock,” and you’re a true brainiac – 21st century style.

THE RANDOM SOLUTION

To “Just Say No” about drug tests. I guess you’re right about teachers and drug tests – when you first apply for the job. How many teachers unions allow for random drug tests? This goes for too many jobs – you get in there, pass the test, then stick around for 30 years and do what you want. Everybody in the American workforce should be subject to the same thing that professional pilots, policeman and security guards are subject to – random drug tests.

They can call you have an hour to take the test. Try that one, “Just Say No,” if you’re so smart.
