Rite Aid in Broomall sells winning Cash 5 ticket

Four winning tickets sold in Bucks, Cambria, Delaware and Monroe counties shared a Pennsylvan­ia Lottery Cash 5 jackpot worth $1.3 million from the Oct. 27 drawing. Each ticket matched all five balls drawn, 05-12-24-4042, to win $325,000, less applicable withholdin­g.

The Rite Aid, at 2901 Springfiel­d Road, Broomall, sold one of the winners.

Other winners Bucks, Cambria counties.

Cash 5 produced another big winner Oct. 28, when a $125,000 jackpot was won by one ticket sold by Sheetz, 5001 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, Lehigh County. The ticket matched all five balls, 06-09-15-18-21, to win $125,000, less applicable withholdin­g.

Each retailer earns a $500 selling were sold in and Monroe bonus.

Prizes must be claimed and winning tickets validated before winners can be identified. Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 ticket should promptly sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-7028146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office.

More than 113,300 other Cash 5 tickets won prizes of various amounts in the October 27 and 28 drawings. Players should check every ticket, every time. Lowertier prizes may be claimed at Lottery retailers.

How to play Cash 5: Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 43. Players may choose specific numbers using a Cash 5 playslip, or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. Cash 5 drawings are held seven nights a week, and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. The chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1-in-962,598 and the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1-in-10.5.
