AIN’T THAT A SHAME

I was really saddened to hear about the passing of Fats Domino. He was one of the last connections back to the old jukebox rock’n’roll era. As Fats once sang, “Ain’t That a Shame?” ROCK ‘N’ ROLLER IN RUTLEDGE

STEEL & CHROME

I can’t understand why the American car makers did away with the Oldsmobile, the Pontiac, the Mercury, the Plymouth and so on. It’s a disgrace. Now you’ve only got a choice of these cheap, plastic, ugly foreign cars. Let’s get back to America again and make steel and chrome. Whatever happened I don’t know, but something went wrong in our country. IF IT AIN’T STEEL, IT AIN’T REAL

NO CREDIT

To “Bank On It,” crying the blues about a bill that just went through and Republicans approved it that makes it harder to go against banks and credit card companies: Stop being a snowflake, stop running up your credit card bill so you can’t pay for it, and relying on all the rest of us you have good credit and make a payments and covering our bills who take care of you guys. How about you stop ruining it for everybody? Why should I have to pay 20-25 percent interest on a credit card because you can’t afford what you spend your money on anyhow? God bless the Republicans were trying to save banking.

NEED PAIN RELIEF

I am in severe pain – I am recovering from hip surgery and I have a broken collar bone. I had a prescription for pain medicine for over a week, and no pharmacy has gotten it in yet. I think it’s because of the opioid scare. It is ridiculous. I am suffering really bad and something has got to be done. Some people desperately need these medications. DIANE

SPECIAL DELIVERY

I send letters to my daughter who lives in Ridley Park, and I live in Folsom. She doesn’t get them for a week. I send packages and letters to relatives out of state and they get them in two days. What’s up with that?

HILLARY GETS A PASS

So the media is having a field day with the Manafort indictment. Anyone with a brain could have figured out he’d get indicted. What I’d like to know is why there weren’t more indictments out of the gate if the “TrumpRussia collusion” narrative is so strong, as we’ve been led to believe since the day after the election. Based on what’s come out in the last week or so about the dossier, there is a far more sound narrative of federal election law violations on the part of Hillary’s campaign, but I don’t see the media going after that very hard.

REMOVE MUELLER

To all thinking Americans: Contact your senators and representatives to have the weasel Mueller and his cronies removed for the henhouse. AN ANGRY AMERICAN

HOLD YOUR BREATH

So, “Trump 2020” says that people are “idiots” if they don’t “know” that this “tax reform” from Trump and the GOP would result in a $4,000 “raise” for middle class families. Here’s another way of looking at it, since we’d have to see it actually happen before we point fingers at who’s smart and who’s stupid: “Trump 2020” and others like him are taking it on faith that the promised $4,000 will happen because – get this – businesses are going to just go ahead and increase workers’ salaries because of their federal tax decrease. Of course, they won’t be compelled to. They’ll just do it, across the board, because, well … it’s just the right thing to do. Well, maybe that will happen, you know, just as it has happened throughout our history. And I hope people like “Trump 2020” hold their breath until it does. NORWOOD

FORE!

“Susie Secane” says Donald Trump works 24/7 and does not vacation and golf every weekend: “Susie” needs to get her head out of the sand trap at Bedminister and Mara-Lago and take a look around. When she sees a fat orange man with a red hat, that’s her so-called president. KMK FROM BETHEL
