I think the disastrous results in the local elections highlight some sad national trends. After state Republicans governments built up places like New York and California, look at their current financial situations after people got complacent with their wealth and prosperity and started voting Democrats in. The reverse happened in the South as business interests expanded there, broke the solid South and starting putting Republicans in power – now our fasting growing and most prosperous states. Sadly, history will probably repeat itself there one day. In Delaware County, I think we had two problems – voters getting complacent and taking our successful for granted, and the current GOP getting complacent. Making this one of the most disproportionately influential and economically successful counties in the nation took hard work – not just posing for photo ops.

TRUMPED IN THE USA

Yesterday’s sweeping Democratic victory, not only in Delaware County but all over the country, are a repudiation of Republican policies. And not only that, they’re a total repudiation of Donald Trump and everything that he stands for, which are all the worst things about our country. BOB FROM SHARON HILL

A year ago Americans made the worst mistake they ever did by electing an unprepared, ignorant, low-class, divisive president. One year and it’s been nonstop with problems. Everybody in his team is being investigated; the closeness with Russia is not disputed, it’s right there to see. But Tuesday, from Maine to Virginia, the change is starting, God willing. So go Democrats and go America. And by the way, America has always been great, so let’s make America think again, instead. JUST SAYING IN ASTON

JUST THE FACTS

“Naming Names” says you can’t have a difference of opinion without someone calling you a moron or an idiot. Well, it’s not an opinion, it’s a fact that Donald Trump is most unqualified, inept, incompetent president this country has ever seen. It is a fact that can be borne out by his words and actions every day. And if you believe that he is a good president, or some people say, the best president we’ve ever had – that is not an opinion either, they’re stating that as a fact – and if you believe that, you are a moron and you are an idiot.

MONEY MATTERS

“Stranger Than Fiction” is just another typical idiot right-winger. The fact that the DNC was close to bankruptcy was because we had a lousy leader of the DNC at the time, and they were not going out and getting people to contribute money to the DNC. It has nothing to do with being able to handle money. Because the Republicans are the ones that don’t know how to handle money, because every time we have a Republican office we are losing money left and right because they are giving it all to the rich. NOTHING TO SEE HERE

Democrats were celebrating Tuesday night over the two governor races they won; no surprise whatsoever. Jersey couldn’t be more liberal. Virginia was a blue state before the election and it’s still blue – no surprises; nothing to read into this. They’re trying to make it out like a vote against Trump. Nah. But this kind of thing is expected from all the liberals and D.C. people. BOOTHWYN
