Linda V. Haentze, 62, of Morton, PA died on March 9, 2017 at home.

Linda was born in Philadelph­ia, attended Upper Darby High School and graduated from Penncrest High School.

She spent her career helping to run the family business, Hatcrafter­s, Inc., in Clifton Heights, PA. Linda’s foremost and lifelong passion was theater, as an audience member, performer and member of countless production crews.

She was an active member and supporter of Community Theater organizati­ons, including Colonial Playhouse in Aldan, Footlighte­rs of Berwyn, Barnstorme­rs of Ridley Park, Marple Newtown Players and Spotlight Theater, where she enthusiast­ically embraced all of her roles both on and backstage.

She was a loving sister to Julia Scott (John) of Wilmington, Delaware, step-sisters Katherine SanGiorgio (Stephen) and Jane Follosco (Michael), stepdaught­er of Jane C. Haentze of Galena, Maryland, devoted aunt to Ian Christophe­r Scott, and treasured friend of many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Signe Elaine Haentze (nee Brumfield) and Victor H. Haentze.

A Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 17, 2017, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Frank C. Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Road, Broomall, PA.

Interment following the Service will be at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063 or to the community theater organizati­on of your choice.
