The Wildcats moved up a spot after a 75-60 win in the opener. Spellman started slow, but finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds to earn Freshman of the Week honors in the Big East. Forward Eric Paschall led the way with 15 points. Sophomore Donte DiVincenzo pitched in with 13 points off the bench despite playing just 19 minutes because of foul trouble.
