Rutgers runs over Temple

Rutgers scored 14 of the last 17 points in the first quarter and that was enough to propel the Scarlet Knights to an 84-67 victory over Temple in women’s basketball action Monday night at McGonigle Hall.

Ciani Cryor hit a 3-pointer to snap a 10-10 deadlock and that started Rutgers on its quarterending run. Jazlynd Rollins scored all 12 of her points in the first half to help the Scarlet Knights take a 45-24 the locker room.

The Owls never got closer than seven points after that. Cryan and Victoria Harris pitched in with 11 points apiece and Tyler Scaife added 10 for Rutgers.

Tanaya Atkinson poured in 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to pace the Owls. Mia Davis contributed 13 points and nine boards. lead into
