Ruth Mae Dixon, age 80, formerly of Norwood, PA passed away peacefully on November 11, 2017.

Born and raised in Philadelph­ia, Ruth met and married her husband, William at the age of 17. The two settled in to their Norwood home where they raised their 3 children.

After Bill’s retirement in early 1990’s, they relocated to their home in the Pot-Nets Community, Millsboro, DE. There, they enjoyed the sights of the bay and ocean relaxing in their retirement years.

Ruth was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Norwood and Mary Mother of Peace Church, Millsboro, DE where she was a member of the Columbiett­e’s.

Known for her good nature and creativity, Ruth enjoyed the holidays where she hosted many Christmas and Thanksgivi­ng dinners, and always decorated her home for the holidays. She loved to sing, especially Christmas Songs. She also was a member of the Red Hatters. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children and grandchild­ren.

In addition to her parents, Robert and Violet Teetz, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Dixon, Jr. who passed in 2007 and two brothers, Donald and Robert Teetz. She is survived by 2 daughters, Maureen Manlove and husband Ken, and Patricia Pagano and husband Pete, as well as a son, William Dixon III. She also is survived by grandchild­ren, Glenn, Peter III, Renae and Nicholas Pagano, Kristen, William IV, Ashley and Sam Dixon, Kari, Drew and Todd Manlove, and several great grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, 11-12 Noon at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 425 Valleybroo­k Rd., Glen Mills, PA. Interment, S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfiel­d, PA.
