O’Hara grads Denoncour, Leicht help Neumann sweep tip-off tourney

Cardinal O’Hara graduate and freshman Kristen Denoncour was named to the Neumann Tip-Off all-tournament team after helping the Knights to a 70-66 decision over Misericord­ia in the championsh­ip game Sunday.

Denoncour had 11 points and eight rebounds. Minika Glenn led the way with 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Knights (2-1). Lauren Legler contribute­d 10 points and Marie Maciejewsk­i finished with nine points and seven rebounds.

Freshman Lauren Leicht (Cardinal O’Hara) had eight points on a pair of 3-point field goals, three assists and three steals. PSU-BRANDYWINE 64, BRYN ATHYN 41 » Nikki Velez registered 15 points, six steals and three assists, while Brandi James (Interboro) tallied 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals as the Nittany Lions (1-2) won the consolatio­n game of the Neumann Tip-Off Tournament.

Alyssa Abbonizio (Springfiel­d) tossed in nine points and Chrissy Glenhill (Cardinal O’Hara) pitched in seven points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals for Brandywine, which broke the game open with a 26-8 run in the second half.
